Officials confirmed that no survivors are expected from either aircraft. As of Thursday morning, 27 bodies had been recovered from the plane, with one recovered from the helicopter. The U.S. Figure Skating organization confirmed that several of its members were on board the ill-fated flight, including former world champions Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, who were residing in the U.S. and training young skaters in Boston. The couple, who won the world championships in pairs figure skating in 1994, had been living in the U.S. while training young skaters in Boston.The news of the crash sent shockwaves through the figure skating community. U.S. Figure Skating released a statement expressing their devastation and offering condolences to the victims' families. They also stated that they would continue to monitor the situation and release more information as it became available. Among those on board were two skaters, two coaches, and two parents connected to Maxim Naumov's skating club. Maxim Naumov, a former U.S. national team member, was not on the flight.The investigation into the cause of the collision is currently underway.
