September 6th this year will see the launch of AMD's long-awaited Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT graphics cards.
AMD is keen to emphasis the on-paper advantages of the two new cards, which boast more memory than most of their counterparts but also wider memory interfaces and more memory bandwidth.
For example, the RX 7700XT has a 192-bit memory interface compared to 128-bits for the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB and 432GB/sec memory bandwidth compared to 288GB/sec for the RTX card.The RX 7700 XT will also be going up against the RX 6750 XT, which has proved a popular choice for 1080p and 1440p gamers in times of high graphics card prices. Meanwhile, the RX 7800XT has the RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT amongst others that PC gamers will be considering.
