Amazon is planning an almost 30,000 square-foot data center project in DeSoto, according to plans filed with the state.
Online sales giant Amazon is building a data center in southern Dallas County.
The vacant property was acquired by Amazon Data Services, the data center operator and online computing subsidiary of the big retailer.Amazon representatives would not talk about plans for the DeSoto site. “Amazon has a practice against commenting on our future roadmap,” an Amazon Web Services representative said in an email.
