Amador Valley improves to 12-1 after beating another hot team, Dublin, in an EBAL game Wednesday.
DUBLIN — They’ve been two of the Bay Area’s hottest and most surprising baseball teams this spring, with three losses between them entering their game Wednesday.
Adding to the pregame storyline was Amador Valley pitcher Oliver de la Torre, a Cal-bound senior who missed last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. After Dublin cut the margin to two in the bottom half of that inning, Amador Valley put the game away with four runs in the seventh, two on Mitchell Kreider’s home run to left.
