On the heels of an international conference, the Alzheimer’s Association San Diego and Imperial Counties chapter will host its annual research town hall this Thursday.
“We really want folks to be able to come and learn more, whether they are curious, they’re going through this journey themselves or know a family member or friend who is struggling,” said Lena Huang, community engagement manager.This year’s speakers will be Alzheimer’s Association’s Senior Director of Scientific Programs and Outreach Rebecca M.
In 2021, San Diego County’s The Alzheimer’s Project reported that there are nearly 98,610 seniors living with dementia in the region. By 2030, the county estimates that number will rise to 115,194.
