High-pressure to our south and east is keeping conditions relatively fair today except for a stalled frontal boundary over Labrador, but the more persistent southerly flow is allowing humidex values to climb into the mid-to-high 30s for much of the region. In the Maritimes, scattered showers with a risk of embedded downpours or thunderstorms will arrive first in western Nova Scotia and New Brunswick ahead of the warm front during the first half of Wednesday, pushing into Prince Edward Island and eastern Nova Scotia, including Cape Breton, Wednesday evening into the overnight hours.The cold front will then cross the region on Thursday with scattered showers and a risk of downpours or thunderstorms.
