While much of the UK is preparing for a 40°C heatwave, some areas will escape the worst of the heat ⬇️
The Scottish Highlands could see 29°C on Tuesday, which is still unusually hot for the area.
North Wales could get to 31°C on Monday, but this is expected to fall to the mid-twenties on Tuesday as the heat begins to break from the west.Hot weather is expected across the southern areas Met Office Meteorologist Steven Keates said: “The threat is pretty widespread, but not everywhere will be extremely hot. The bulk of Northern Ireland and Scotland will be less hot.
“The impact on people will be to a lesser degree but still to some level of heat. It may be more manageable.” “All these things have come together and that’s when it gets extreme. It looks like everything is going to fall in place in this scenario.”
