The Fire Department said the all-hands fire was reported a little after 2 p.m. on Rockaway Parkway. Deputy Chief Jim Carney said around 60 FDNY and EMS workers responded to the scene, where they found two people who jumped out of the six-story building from the top floor to escape."Very heavy fire on arrival on the top floor," Carney said at the scene Monday.

First responders reported four injuries in total from the fire, three of them serious. They were taken to area hospitals, Carney said.
