Another 10 electric buses for Greater Victoria are expected to start arriving in September

B.C. Transit’s only all-electric bus in Victoria picked up its first passengers on Thursday afternoon on the #14 route, which runs from the University of Victoria to downtown.

“We wanted to familiarize our drivers with the bus and the routes it may potentially take on,” Drakes aid. The 10 buses are not part of Wednesday’s $400-million joint funding announcement by the provincial and federal governments, which will see the purchase of 115 electric buses and 134 charging points in the province.
