From Chopper to Zeb, here are all 8 Star Wars Rebels characters who are now in live-action, as well as what roles they could play in the story next.

Star Wars Rebels is having a lasting impact on the entire Star Wars franchise, with many key characters either appearing in live-action - or expected to do so. Disney’s first major Star Wars release, Rebels initially had to deal with comparisons to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as it was essentially that show's replacement. Set in the Dark Times of the Empire's reign, Rebels kept some elements from Clone Wars but took a very different narrative approach.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT 8 Chopper The Ghost's faithful droid Chopper was the first Star Wars Rebels character to appear in live-action, turning up as a background cameo in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He can be seen on Yavin 4, when the rebels prepare for their attack on Scarif. The cameo was actually something of a spoiler for the end of Star Wars Rebels at the time, given it was accompanied by a mention of General Syndulla.

6 Grand Inquisitor Star Wars Rebels introduced the concept of Inquisitors into the Star Wars canon; disciples of Darth Vader who hunted Jedi at the Emperor's command. This was a smart way to have Force-sensitive villains hunting Kanan and his Padawan, Ezra Bridger, without relying too much on Darth Vader. The Inquisitors' leader, the Grand Inquisitor, was originally voiced by Jason Isaacs; he was recast in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ TV show, now played by Rupert Friend.

4 Sabine Wren Star Wars Rebels introduced viewers to a Mandalorian scientist, scrapper, and graffiti artist named Sabine Wren, originally voiced by Tiya Sircar. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will take over as an older Sabine in the Ahsoka Disney+ TV show, which increasingly feels like a live-action Star Wars Rebels sequel. A first look at live-action Sabine was shown in an exclusive Ahsoka trailer screened at Star Wars Celebration 2022.
