A surprise performance from one of Rhone's "most iconic groups," according to a press release -- among the possibilities, pop-R&B legends “We are deeply grateful to these talented artists for lending their voices to support City of Hope’s delivery of the next generation of cancer and diabetes cures and care,” said City of Hope president and CEO.
Rhone, who was promoted to her current role in April, is the first African-American female Spirit of Life Award recipient. City of Hope, an independent research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases, last year honored , now chairman/CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
