The sci-fi action series, starring Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, is Netflix's most-watched Japanese title ever.
With Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya reprising their roles as Arisu and Usagi in Season 3, Netflix says fans can look forward to witnessing the evolution of their characters in the ever-dangerous landscape of Borderland. Director Shinsuke Sato will also continue helming the series, ensuring that it maintains its trademark intensity and aesthetic. follows the story of Arisu after he is transported to a parallel universe in which he has to play and win games to remain alive.
The second season introduced additional cast members, including Tomohisa Yamashita as “King of Clubs” Kyuma, Yuri Tsunematsu as Heiya, Hayato Isomura as Banda, Kai Inowaki as Matsushita, Katsuya Maiguma as Yaba and Honami Sato as Kotoko. Last season ended with a cliffhanger involving the Joker card — leading to much fan speculation about the coming third season.
