Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for Oct. 2-8.
"Firefighters were called to a three story storage facility after the employees reported there saw smoke coming from the elevator control room. The fire alarm was activated and employees began to evacuate. Upon further investigation confirmed there was light smoke in the control room.
The power was secured to the elevator and the smoke dissipated immediately and no other sources were identified. The initial arriving units were held and the remainder of the assignment was put available. At first look it appears this was caused by an electrical malfunction but an investigation will continue until this can be confirmed. No injuries were reported. The business will reopen once crews complete their work.
