Are we listening?
What was previously known as; you could only hear it via a special website. Now, the full album is available to stream on your preferred platform, which means we can finally hear his and Ariana's song "Time." Spoiler alert: it's great, and it's more than "time"-ly.
"Time" is track three on the 12-song album, and one of the only tracks without a numerical title. It opens with a steady synth beat, with Donald singing "Seven billion people, trying to free themselves. Said a billion prayers, trying to save myself. I can see it coming, but it's moving fast." Ariana jumps in for the next section, her vocals light and airy. "Been through a hurricane with the sunroof down," she sings. "Dancing with no pain, we wait to see the sunrise. It's a holiday when you're around, breath of fresh air like a cold winter breeze and I can feel it slow down."
"Time" is a song about acting now to preserve the future, and on it, Donald sings about "running after something" and feeling "too afraid to stop," and Ariana joins in again towards the middle of the six-minute song, singing "My feet are falling to the bottom of the ocean, running out of time ...high on emotion, I can feel it moving forward.
