Alberta health officials report decline in COVID-19 cases but urge vigilance over Halloween weekend

Alberta is reporting another decline in COVID-19 cases but the province’s chief medical officer of health is urging people to continue following public health orders over the Halloween weekend.

Deena Hinshaw says she hopes that restrictions in place this year will prevent a spike in cases such as occurred last October.The number of people in hospital sits at 779, including 185 who are in intensive care.She says the province is rolling out its influenza immunization campaign and will continue to encourage Albertans to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
