In a statement sent out on Friday, Matt Jones, minister of jobs, economy and trade, said most of the gains came from the private and service-producing sectors, fueled by over 31,000 new full-time jobs. "I'm pleased to see new jobs created in Alberta, especially given the concerning losses that were reported in the previous month. In the midst of this volatile job market, Albertans continue to struggle to pay their bills or even find an affordable place to call home," said NDP MLA Nathan Ip, critic for jobs, economy and trade, in a Friday statement.
