"It is crucial that Albertans avoid any activities that fall under this ban to prevent new wildfires from breaking out," the province said in the bulletin. Alberta Wildfire said the community are not in immediate danger, but there are concerns a wildfire burning about 30 kilometres away could cut off access to Highway 58, the only road into the community of about 700 people,
Fire HWF061 is one of several out-of-control blazes in the Semo Wildfire Complex in northwestern Alberta.
