The provincial government is partnering with three Alberta organizations to create an office in Calgary that will work with victims and survivors of human trafficking.
The Alberta Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons will be led by #NotInMyCity, Native Counselling Services of Alberta and REACH Edmonton Council for Safer Communities.
The office will connect survivors and victims of human trafficking to various community supports and services. Human trafficking cases are classified in three main categories: sex trafficking, labour trafficking and organ trafficking.
