Senate President Godswill Akpabio says the national assembly will consider the purchase of a new presidential jet if the request is necessary.
Speaking on the floor of the senate on Thursday, Akpabio said there is no request before the national assembly to appropriate money to buy a new jet.
Two committees of the national assembly have recommended that two aircraft be bought for the use of the president and vice-president.“We care about the president, and we care about the Nigerian people. We will approve things that will benefit the Nigerian people,” Akpabio said.
