A woman from Airdrie is using her knitting skills to raise funds for IVF treatment in hopes of growing her family. She aims to sell 1,000 handmade toques to cover the $30,000 cost.
An Airdrie woman is hoping her love for knitting and toques can help her and her husband grow their family by at least one more.says she began knitting about eight years ago, around the same time the couple started trying to have a baby.
They are now looking into In-Vitro Fertilization which she says is very costly and isn’t covered by the province or the couple’s health benefits.
