Air Canada will suspend flights between Vancouver and Delhi from June 2 until early September 2022 due to the Ukraine\u002DRussia war
A number of factors, including the Ukraine-Russia conflict, have made the route currently “unviable,” Air Canada said in aTo avoid Ukrainian and Russian airspace, the airline has been taking flight paths that require longer flying times and a re-fuelling stop, which make the route “operationally constrained,” it said. Summer wind and weather conditions in South Asia are expected to add to those constraints.
Routes from Canada to India will still continue to run, however. The airline said it will keep operating up to 11 weekly flights between the two countries from its gateways in Toronto and Montreal.
