Central-Phenix City's Bria Allen celebrates a home run during 2023 Class 7A softball state championship tournament at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. Central-Phenix City pounded 11 hits on the way to a 5-1 victory over Auburn to claim the Class 7A Area 4 title on Monday in AHSAA softball action.
The winner and runnerup in each of 16 areas in Class 1A-6A and eight areas in Class 7A advance to one of four regionals starting on May 6. The fourth-ranked Red Devils scored 4 runs in the first three innings and pitcher Ally Supan did the rest.
