PETALING JAYA: Johor DAP chairman Liew Chin Tong has called out Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi over his denial of involvement in the Littoral Combat Ship project fiasco.
"He must not try to avoid his responsibility and must answer to the people immediately," said Liew, who was also the former defence minister, during Pakatan Harapan’s administration. It was reported that RM1.4bil worth of government funds intended for the multibillion-ringgit LCS project signed in 2014 was diverted for other purposes.
These were among the findings contained in the bipartisan committee’s 250-page report that was tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Aug 4.
