the NBA FinalsIf the Dallas Mavericks win, Six Flags New England, located just outside Springfield, Mass., will rename the New England SkyScreamer to the “Dallas SkyScreamer,” provide free admission for one week to anyone with a Texas ID and send Bostonian treats like cream donuts, clam chowder and baked beans to its sister park in Arlington.What’s more, New England park president Pete Carmichael will be followed around by a country western band for an entire day.
The Texas park president Richard Douaihy agreed to be followed for a day by a traditional Celtic band if the Mavs lose. Finally, the park will serve free Boston cream pies to the first 100 visitors on a date to be announced.“If there’s one thing Texans know how to do, it’s how to support their home team. I’m no different, so I am more than happy to risk a little embarrassment in order to support our Mavs,” Douaihy said in a statement.
