Gage says he plans to use the $750 he won at the county fair to buy a PlayStation 4. The State Fair qualifying win didn’t come with a cash prize — yet — but Gage received two free State Fair tickets and a parking pass to the fall 2024 event. He plans to return to Fair Park in October 2024 to compete against other blue-ribbon bakers in the final round. If he wins, he’ll get $200, a purple ribbon and an entry in the State Fair of Texas cookbook for his pie recipe.
