“Without a tour and without shows and without fans and without all these things, who am I?” He says. “So in many ways, it was super stressful.” “I feel 2020 was a great renewal of mind, body and spirit for me,” he says. “I think taking what I learned in 2020 and 2021 has made me so much more grateful for what I do have and also made me an enjoy-the-day-as-if-comes kind of person. Whether it was raining or shining, it’s going to be a good day. If some bad crap happens, it’s OK. We’re going to figure it out. I think if it weren’t for those two years where I was forced off-time, I don’t know if I would have changed much.
