Work is also being done to keep hospitals cool this weekend, while workers in long-term care facilities ensure people are hydrated. B.C. is reimbursing communities and First Nations for opening cooling centres. B.C. Emergency Health Services are is reassigning staff to assist people in need and activating provincial and regional emergency operations centres.
