Along with its board chairperson the Hon. Keith Wright, the African American Day Parade Breakfast Committee honored trailblazers and influencers who have left a mark on our community both locally and globally, which included elected officials, musicians, fashion designers, and young scholars who received scholarships. Awardees included KRS-One, Slick Rick, and DJ Red Alert. City Councilmember-elect Yusef Salaam was also in attendance.
