To launch in Canada, Cann partnered with Truss Beverage Co., a joint venture between MolsonCoors Canada and HEXO. The drinks are currently available in Ontario, where a 4-pack retails for $20.95 from the OCS, and are expected to launch in B.C. in the coming months.
“Over three years ago, we were told that consumers didn’t want cannabis in beverages and that they were, at best, a novelty, but this fundraise and our Canadian expansion indicate that microdosed beverages are here to stay,” Jake Bullock, co-founder and CEO of Cann said in a statement last month. “Adults everywhere are desperate for an alternative to alcohol that actually delivers a social buzz and puts flavour first, full stop.
