In 1986, when Julien Arnold moved from Vancouver Island to Edmonton to study acting in the University of Alberta’s bachelor of fine arts program, the practice was that new students would perform their audition piece in front of the faculty and class.
Emma Ryan, who has played the eldest Cratchit daughter, remembers the importance Mr. Arnold placed on connecting with the younger actors in the cast.
