The ACT records 16 new cases, as it sees out its first week of lockdown.
The ACT has recorded 16 new COVID-19 cases — including one linked to a childcare centre, taking the total number of active cases in Canberra to 83., including the Goodstart Early Learning Centre in Turner and 15 public transport journeys.
The ACT's announcement of 16 new cases came just minutes after NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro announced two cases of the virus had also been recorded in Queanbeyan. "We either stop this virus now or we live like Sydney for the rest of this year, they are the choices that we face," he said.
