Several sources confirmed that Rabih Alkhalil left the North Fraser Pretrial Centre Thursday evening after cutting a hole in the fence using a plasma torch.

Const. Deanna Law said Alkhalil, 35, is considered dangerous. She said police were called at 7:30 p.m. by North Fraser staff about the escape.
