Abbotsford man nabbed in Kelowna on Canada-wide warrant
An Abbotsford man, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for conspiracy to commit murder, was arrested Wednesday night in Kelowna.
“We would like to thank the public for tips and acknowledge the Kelowna RCMP for their assistance. They were instrumental in helping capture Mr. Boparai,” said Sgt. Jason Robillard, spokesman for Vancouver police. “We’ll continue to work collaboratively with our partnering agencies to combat gang violence that affects our communities.”
The indictment, obtained by Postmedia News, says the four men conspired to commit murder with “Sameet Kang, Gary Kang and others” between June 4 and 19, 2018, in Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley and Maple Ridge.
