Aayla Secura has been brought to life after last being seen in the prequel trilogy by a fantastically detailed cosplay from a Star Wars fan.
A Star Wars cosplay has brought the theorized latest Order 66 survivor to life: Aayla Secura. Aayla Secura was a Jedi in the prequel trilogy, a blue Twi'lek who fought for the Republic against the Separatists during the Clone Wars. As such, Secura was seen in a few scenes of George Lucas' prequel trilogy and even had some episodes in Star Wars: The Clone Wars dedicated to her.
Despite being shown as one of the Jedi killed in Order 66, a cosplay from rei.kennex imagines Aayla as one of the lucky few who survived past the events of the Great Jedi Purge. The cosplay draws on the rumors that Star Wars' Aayla Secura and Shaak-Ti could be revealed as future Order 66 survivors in Star Wars comics.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT More Order 66 Survivors Actually Benefits Star Wars This cosplay brings to light the never-ending debate of whether Star Wars is introducing too many Order 66 survivors. It was recently confirmed that the upcoming Ahsoka's antagonist Baylan is a Jedi who survived Order 66.
While this could be argued, even 100 Jedi surviving Order 66 would mean the Empire had a 99% success rate in destroying the Jedi, given the 10000 Jedi Knights protecting the galaxy during the days of the Republic. Similarly, various Jedi surviving Order 66 enables Lucasfilm to tell new, interesting stories around characters that would not be possible otherwise.
