Aaron Judge’s 2023 mission: ‘Next step is what hasn’t been done, period
After Aaron Judge broke Roger Maris’ American League single-season home run record last season, the outfielder started off 2023 with a homer with his first swing of the season.
Still, he got to 62 a year ago even when he didn’t hit his first homer until the sixth game of the season and didn’t hit another until Game 14. But Judge did admit after Thursday’s game that he was aware that players who have hit 60 home runs in the past have had a hard time duplicating the feat.Robert Sabo for NY Post“I haven’t looked much into it, but I know very few have followed up with 60 [again],” Judge said. “I know a couple have hit 50 after that, so we’ll see what happens. Maybe we’ll make a new list.”
