Scientists are training a dog-like robot to walk on the moon by taking it to a mountain in Oregon, where it can learn from its mistakes.
When humans start exploring the moon in the next few years, they are planning to have some robot helpers.To do that, scientists have been taking the robot to some moon-like terrain on Mount Hood, in the state of Oregon.
Spirit the robot practises walking on Mount Hood in Oregon. The research is part of the LASSIE Project, which stands for Legged Autonomous Surface Science in Analogue Environments.
