Biking to the rodeo may be a little easier next year. Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis recently announced that a bike lane under construction on Almeda Road should be completed by the end of 2022.

"When this project is done, if you can get to Brays Bayou on a bike, then you can get to NRG Park," Cutufo told the Chronicle."That's a game-changer because if you don't want to deal with the traffic and the parking situation at NRG Park, all of a sudden you've got a whole new option." The project will also include a new Houston BCycle station that includes a seating area and bike repair station, as well as new signs and marking for the METRO bus stops, Ellis told HPM.
