The A.L.C. fall 2023 collection is here:
Real clothes won at New York fashion week this season. Across the board, brands showed pieces that focused on wearability first, visibility second. ALC designer Andrea Lieberman has always thought that way. Her collections don’t start with a specific inspiration like a trip she took or a movie she discovered, but rather with what she calls “an intention, of mood, of fabrication, of silhouette. We spend so much time on our print and our fabrications that it tells the story for us.
Rather than reinvent the wheel, she offers her customers a way to buy into current trends in an elevated, comfortable way. On deck for fall 2023: cargo pants, moto minis and leather jackets, and kelly green. ALC’s tailoring is always strong. This season the cropped, razor sharp asymmetrical blazers paired with the aforementioned cargos, and the tuxedo dress with a slice of pleated skirt looked good. “We all want to be inspired,” Lieberman said.
