Poirot's beliefs are tested.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT A new clip from A Haunting in Venice sees Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot insulting Michelle Yeoh's new character, a medium. After the success of Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile, Branagh returns to star and direct a new Agatha Christie adaptation. The upcoming film, which adapts the author's Hallowe'en Party, sees Poirot reluctantly attend a séance in Venice, hosted by Yeoh's Mrs.
Poirot, clearly, is a man of science, believing in that which he can see, hear, touch, and deduce. The clip shows, however, that his beliefs will be tested in the film, with a curiously-timed chandelier accident suggesting that Mrs. Reynolds may not be the charlatan he thinks she is.
