nineteen years ago, she didn't consider it pretty. “I was thinking of it being busy, and urban, and gritty,” she says.
Yet, during her time as a banker, where’d she’d take lunch breaks at Somerset House, or later, while strolling around London’s various neighborhoods as a stay-at-home mom on a budget, she realized how lovely the entire city was., that “showed a different side" to the city. Her cityscapes are quaint and colorful, while still embracing London’s signature grayness. Which is fine with her. A gray day, she says, makes for better lighting anyway.
