When British Airways flight 3271 landed on Monday and the “welcome to Edinburgh” announcement rang out through the plane, passengers thought it was a practical joke by the pilot and crew. They were supposed to be 750 miles away in Dusseldorf, Germany.
British Airways confirmed to Fox News that the detour was due to a paperwork error that led to the crew using the wrong flight plan. The 96-seat plane was operatedIn a statement to USA Today, a British Airways spokesman said the airline was working with WDL Aviation to figure out why the incorrect flight plan was used.The flight has been diverted to Edinburgh, we don't have any information as to why at the moment.
