LAHORE: Authorities have apprehended two suspects involved in the kidnapping and murder of a student in Faisalabad, according to a statement from a Punjab government spokesperson. The arrest was made following instructions from Shoaib Mirza, Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Complaints Cell, as part of an ongoing investigation into the case.
The suspects, identified as Bilal Nawaz and Umar Aslam, had reportedly abducted a student named Ahad and initially demanded ransom for his release.However, during an altercation, the suspects murdered Ahad, the spokesperson revealed. Despite the killing, the suspects continued to extort money from Ahad’s family by frequently changing their locations. It was also disclosed that Umar kept Ahad’s body in his rented residence before later disposing of it on the roadside. Following the incident, Shoaib Mirza instructed the Faisalabad police to swiftly apprehend the culprits.
