Battalion Chief Robert Lambert with Draper Fire said the a male in his 30s was involved in a paragliding crash Thursday night.

Due to the location of the crash, a rescue team had to hike to the victim. He was then hoisted from the area via helicopter. Given the severity of his injuries, Lambert said the man was airlifted to a local hospital rather than being transported by ambulance.The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
