LAHORE - The Pakistan squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand is expected to have 5 to 6 changes , with senior players , including Babar Azam, likely to be rested. According to sources, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with top domestic performers at the National Cricket Academy , where he listened to their concerns.
Players present at the meeting included Haider Ali, Maaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Suleman, Khawaja Nafay, Saad Masood, Afaq Afridi, Mubasir Khan, Faisal Akram, Qasim Akram, Arafat Minhas, Mirza Tahir Baig, Ahmed Daniyal, Ali Raza, Muhammad Ibtisam, and others. Sources added that Akif Javed was also invited but could not attend due to prior commitments. From this pool of 16 players, 5 to 6 young cricketers are expected to be selected for the New Zealand tour. The current selection committee will finalise the squad, with an official announcement expected in the next three to four days.
