Excise authorities said over Rs70 million tax is due from the owners of the properties to be sealed in Lahore. They said 300 properties paying more than Rs10 million were de-sealed in Lahore while 1600 properties were de-sealed across Punjab after paying Rs25 million in tax. DG Excise Umar Sher Chatha had ordered recovery by sealing defaulted commercial, semi-commercial and rental properties. DG Excise said that steps are being taken to achieve the 80 percent target by the end of the current month.
