ISLAMABAD - The government has announced revised prices of petroleum products, increasing petrol and diesel rates while adjusting petroleum levy charges, with the new prices coming into effect from midnight. According to the details, a petroleum levy of Rs28.69 per litre has been imposed on diesel, whereas previously the levy on diesel stood at zero.

Meanwhile, the levy on petrol has been reduced from Rs107.38 to Rs103.50 per litre. The price of kerosene oil has been decreased from Rs365.21 to Rs360.76 per litre, providing slight relief in that category.

However, overall fuel prices have been increased. High-speed diesel price has been raised by Rs19.39 per litre, taking it from Rs380.19 to Rs399.58 per litre. Similarly, petrol price has been increased by Rs6.51 per litre, rising from Rs393.35 to Rs399.86 per litre. The revised prices have been implemented from 12:00 midnight, reflecting the government’s latest adjustment in petroleum product rates. International Labour Day being observed today
