Soon after receiving the report, a police party of Saddar Mian Channu Police Station rushed to the site. After taking notice of the police party, dacoits started firing on them. In retaliation, the police team also opened fire on them. During a heavy exchange of firing, one dacoit was killed and two of his companions fled the area. The dead dacoit was later identified as Kazim, son of Mata Lori, resident of 28/14. Later, the police team shifted the dead body of the dacoit to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Mian Channu.
