Rescue authorities stated that several fatalities were linked to excessive drug use, extreme heat, and deaths occurring during treatment in deteriorating conditions. Police have launched investigations in multiple cases to determine the exact causes. A body of a suspected drug addict was found on Sarwar Shaheed Road, with authorities probing whether the death was caused by heatstroke or overdose. The identity of the deceased remains unknown.
Another unidentified body was recovered from Madina Colony in Quaidabad and shifted to a hospital. In Mauripur, a man identified as Zaheer was found dead near Nala Stop inside a house. Several unidentified bodies were also discovered in different areas, including near Usmania Mosque in North Karachi Sector 5D3, Saima Arabian Villas in Manghopir, and near Al-Noor Hotel in Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Police confirmed that a man found dead near Khayaban-e-Saqib, Phase 8 Defence, died due to excessive drug use.
Additional unidentified bodies were recovered from Boat Basin in Clifton, Liaquatabad No.10 under the bridge, and near Jamali Bridge on Super Highway. In Surjani Scheme 33, a man identified as Dar Muhammad was found dead, while in Baldia near SPARCO Road, Abdul Wadud reportedly died due to intense heat, rescue officials added. Authorities say identification processes are ongoing in several cases, while investigations continue to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
