Harbour Grace RCMP have arrested and charged a 75-year-old man after a vehicle crashed into a shed and a home in Victoria, N.L. was set on fire on Aug. 31. - Stock ImageVICTORIA, N.L. — RCMP in Victoria have arrested a 75-year-old man following a vehicle crash and arson on Aug. 31.

Harbour Grace RCMP were called to a home shortly after 1 p.m. following reports that a vehicle had crashed into a shed on a residential property.Occupants of the house and nearby residents were evacuated without injury while fire fighters battled the blaze. John Lomond was arrested and is scheduled to attend court Sept. 1 to face charged if arson, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
