WEB DESK: Lord’s Cricket Ground is set to host the final of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, marking one of seven venues for the expanded tournament. This will be the first time since 2009 that Lord’s hosts the event’s decisive match, with England’s team, led by now-head coach Charlotte Edwards, having previously triumphed at the iconic venue when it was last hosted in England.

The 2026 tournament will feature 12 teams, an increase from the 10 that competed in last year’s edition in the United Arab Emirates. The competition will kick off on Friday, June 12, and run for 24 days, culminating with the final on Sunday, July 5. In addition to Lord’s, several other prominent grounds will host matches, including The Oval, Old Trafford, Headingley, the Hampshire Bowl, Edgbaston, and the Bristol County Ground. These venues are regular stops for England’s men’s and women’s international matches and are increasingly chosen for major tournaments. The last major women’s cricket World Cup held in England in 2017 was mainly played at smaller venues, but the 2026 event will utilize some of the country’s most renowned cricket grounds.
